On Thoughts

Me:

the whole thing seems an excercise in working people up and then slipping things into their heads when they’re not looking

Him:

yeah pretty much
see the problem is this…
The insight I gained from some of the exercises was actually good
the self-reflection
and it was fun and did have a large amount of psychological euphoria
which feels really good
you also feel really accepted at the end of the training
ilke you’ve found a bunch of awesome people
all those things are good
but the problem is that they slip all kinds of nasty shit in during that
so that you get hooked acting like a dumb-ass
and that gets worse as time goes on

and the trainings get more enrolling
until you are a fucking drone

taking their shit like fucking Gerber’s baby food

their techniques shut everyone on the outside out…
that’s the frustrating part
because anyone on the outside just wants to bring you down apparently
they are all held back by their beliefs

the bad stuff is sneaky
you only notice the good stuff for a long time
and there is plenty of good stuff to go around
just way too much nasty shit in the background

My conclusion?

Messing with people’s heads is generally not moral.

even if they’re paying you for it.

especially then.
