best laid plans…

So, I had a relatively decent time at Disneyland. At least as decent as can be expected, given that it was Disney and one of those dreaded family vacations. Now to the other part:

My sleep schedule is totally shot to hell. I hadn’t bothered mentioning the oddities of my sleep habits to the parents, and I didn’t particularly feel like dealing with them while on this vacation. So, the first night, I went to bed around 1:30, and slept fitfully. I woke up pretty rested, but really felt the need for my naps at the appropriate times. I managed to grab a little sleep in the car while we were being carted around the LA area to see the sights, but it didn’t really help. I was really quite tired by the time bedtime rolled around, and I took some of my flexaril to help me sleep because my back was hurting from all the sitting while driving around. Slept well. Went to disneyland, walked around for a LONG TIME. Got there at 8am opening and stayed till 9:30pmish at which point I was falling asleep standing up (no naps) and Bryan and Katherine and I decided to call it an evening. Walked back to the hotel, got some food from AM/PM, ate food at hotel, took some more flexaril, and was out by 10. Slept really soundly. Was woken up at 8:30ish, had breakfast, then got in the car for the ride back. Slept a bit in the car, and am now home. I think I may try a hybrid approach of taking a 20 minute nap whenever I feel tired (with at least 1 hour intervals between then). Maybe this will help me get adjusted again. Feeling pretty tired now, but the back isn’t bothering me too much, which is good. We’ll see how it goes. Maybe pictures later.
